Speech Clarity Improving

We've been out of town visiting grandparents since Demi is on Spring Break this week. Each day during our visit, I was amazed at how much more clearly Demi was speaking. I've been so used to interpreting for her that it was wonderful to hear her ask questions and make observations, even hold conversations, without my intervention. Her grandparents understood 80-90% of her speech. That's up from 50% just two month ago!

Her speech is still severely delayed and she receives regular speech therapy, so of course we'd expect her speech to grow clearer over time. But I believe it has a lot to do with both the NCD she has been taking, as well as the fish oil we've been giving her. I tried fish oil before and it didn't seem to make a difference. I believe that because of the NCD, she's better able to absorb the EFA's and Omega-3's from the fish oil to help her neurological functioning, which should help with her delays in both speech and fine motor. I'm hoping her progress will accelerate with continued use of both products.
